Koukouli is located in Ipirus, at the perfecture of Ioannina, and it belongs at the municipality of Timfi.

Someone could reach the Koukouli vilage by taking the Ioannina - Konitsa national road, on the North of Ioannina. On the 19th km turn right when you reach the village of Karyes or Metamorphosis.

Afterwards we pass the Aspraggeloi Valley and continue in the road for Kipi. When we reach the crossroad where the road separates for Kipi or Tsepelovo we either take the road for Kipi and turns left or follows the road for Tsepelovo and turns right after a while.

For those who want to approach the Koukouli vilage from the notherner Greece there is an other way, difficult but much more beautiful. Coming from Thessalonica/Grevena, we follow the road to Vasilitsa, we continue to Distrato, Pades and Palaioseli.

Just before the entrance to Palaioseli we turn left for the river Aoos, afterwards we go up in Vrysochori, we continue and pass the villages/places of Iliochori, Gyftokampos, Skamneli, Tsepelovo, Vradeto and we meet the label of the Kouklouli vilage. A fascinating route but avoid taking it between November and March.
